Jewelry & Watch
Fulfillment

Jewelry inverts every normal warehouse assumption. The freight is cheap, the cube is nothing, and a single missing unit costs more than a pallet of most categories. Access restricted storage, piece level counts, serial tracking and presentation packing.

Branded gift packaging and presentation packing for high-value jewelry orders

THE INVERTED CATEGORY

Shrinkage, Not Freight

In most categories the warehouse conversation is about cube, dimensional weight and carrier rates. In jewelry none of that is the constraint. A month of orders fits in a filing cabinet and the only numbers that matter are how many pieces you have and who touched them.

That changes what you should be asking a 3PL about, and it is why we would rather tell you what we do not have than win the account and disappoint your insurer.

WHAT HIGH VALUE NEEDS

Counting Discipline Over Throughput

Speed is not the differentiator when the order is one small box. Knowing exactly what you have and exactly where it went is.

FIG 01

ACCESS-RESTRICTED STORAGE

Tiny cube, large value. The risk here is shrinkage and miscounting rather than damage or freight. 24/7 monitoring, surveillance coverage and controlled access, with high value lines held in access restricted locations rather than open racking.

FIG 02

PIECE-LEVEL CYCLE COUNTS

Case level counting is fine for boxed goods and useless here, where one missing unit is a material loss rather than a rounding error. Counts run at the piece level on a cycle schedule so a discrepancy surfaces in days, not at year end.

FIG 03

SERIAL & CERTIFICATE TRACKING

Serials captured at receiving and recorded against the order at pick, so warranty claims, authentication questions and returns resolve against the actual piece that shipped instead of the SKU it belonged to.

WHY ASFAR

We Will Tell You No

Security is the one area where a 3PL saying yes to everything should worry you. Insurance policies name specific standards, and finding out at claim time that your provider did not meet them is the worst possible moment.

  • One Unit Is Material

Counting discipline set to the value of the piece, not the size of the carton.

  • Serial Married to Order

Which serial went to which customer, recorded at the pick.

  • Discreet Outer Packaging

Nothing on the box tells a porch thief what is in it.

  • Honest Security Answers

If your policy names a standard we do not meet, you hear it before you sign.

Check us against your policy

Send the security clauses from your insurance policy along with your average order value. We will give you a straight yes or no on each requirement.

PROGRAMS

Presentation, Delivery and Returns

Where high value orders are actually won and lost after the pick.

FIG 04

PRESENTATION PACKING

Branded box or pouch, pad, sleeve, card and ribbon placed identically every time, gift messaging where you specify, and outer packaging that does not advertise its contents. The unboxing is being photographed.

FIG 05

SIGNATURE & INSURED SHIPPING

Light parcels where carrier cost is not the constraint and loss is. Discreet outers, signature confirmation above a value threshold you set, declared value handled to your rule and agreed in writing at onboarding.

FIG 06

SIZING RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Sizing drives jewelry returns, especially on gifted rings. Inspected against the piece record for wear and stone security, then restocked, routed to your sizing partner, or quarantined. Exchanges ship as a linked outbound.

FAQ

Jewelry Fulfillment, Answered

Q01

How is jewelry inventory secured and counted?

Jewelry inverts the usual warehouse economics: tiny in cube, large in value, so the risk is shrinkage and miscounting rather than damage or freight cost. Our facility runs 24/7 security monitoring, surveillance coverage and controlled access, with high value lines in access restricted locations rather than open racking. Counts run at the piece level on a cycle schedule instead of the case level counts that suit boxed goods, because one missing unit here is a material loss.

Q02

Can you handle serialized items and certificates?

Yes. Watches, certified stones and limited runs carry a serial or certificate number that has to stay married to the physical piece, not just the SKU. We capture serials at receiving and record which serial filled which order at pick, so warranty claims, authentication questions and returns resolve against the unit that actually shipped. Without that link every warranty dispute becomes guesswork.

Q03

What does presentation packing involve for jewelry?

The box is part of the product. Orders go out in your branded box or pouch with the pad, sleeve, card and ribbon placed the same way every time, gift messaging where you specify, and outer packaging that does not advertise what is inside. Presentation consistency matters more here than almost anywhere, because someone who spent several hundred dollars is photographing the unboxing.

Q04

How do you ship high value orders?

Jewelry parcels are light and small, so carrier cost is rarely the constraint. The loss profile is: discreet outer packaging, signature confirmation above a value threshold you set, and declared value or insurance handled to your rule rather than ours. Set the threshold with us in writing at onboarding, because the expensive version of that conversation happens after a parcel goes missing.

Q05

Do you handle ring sizing returns and exchanges?

Yes, and sizing drives a lot of jewelry returns, particularly on rings bought as gifts. Returns are inspected against the serial or piece record, checked for wear and stone security, then restocked, routed to your repair or sizing partner, or quarantined for your decision. Exchanges process as a linked outbound so the replacement moves without waiting on a new order.

Q06

What if my insurer requires a rated safe or vault?

Tell us before you sign anything. Some jewelry policies specify a rated safe, a caged area or a particular alarm certification, and those are hard requirements rather than preferences. We will tell you plainly whether we meet the standard your policy names instead of letting you discover it at claim time. A 3PL that says yes to every security question is not one you want holding your inventory.
